TaZ announced his decision to withdraw from the highly competitive professional arena, ending his long career spanning CS1.6 to CS:GO.
The 36-year-old player announced his decision on social media and showcased many of his medals over the past decade.
The Polish has a career that few people can match. He has won 23 offline victories in CS:GO, won four top-level championship trophies, and won the EMS One Major Championship held in Katowitz, Poland, in 2014. In addition, he has also won 12 awards in CS1.6, including six gold medals in the largest competitions, an achievement that is second to none in the history of CS1.6.
Returning to the early days of his career, TaZ won the 2005 Samsung European Championship with his “gold team”, which included NEO, kuben, Loord, and LUq. The five of them dominated the CS field from 2006 to 2008 and won multiple trophies.
After that, in 2012, the veteran officially announced his transition to CS:GO and teamed up with Snax and byali under Universal Soldiers, which is also the prototype of the Virtus.pro team that we will be familiar with later. VP has a dominant position in the early days of CS:GO, winning championship trophies such as Gfinity 3, ESL ESEA 2015 Dubai Invitational, and 2014 EMS One Katowitz Major.
The last time TaZ participated in an offline competition was in February of this year, when he represented HONORIS in the CCT Central Europe Finals, which also became TaZ’s swan song in the CS competition.
Looking back on his career, TaZ participated in 12 Major games in CS:GO, entered the playoffs ten times, and won a championship once. His Polish team is therefore seen as the “gatekeeper” of Valve sponsored events. Only after defeating Virtus.pro can the team possibly challenge for the championship title.
