HLTV has compiled a list of the top five comebacks from all matches in the first half of the year. The match between Vitality and FaZe at EPL S17 emerged as the most successful turnaround of the first half of 2023.
This match took place in the winner’s bracket final of Group C at EPL S17 and concluded with Vitality defeating FaZe 2-0. In the first map, Anubis, Vitality only managed to secure one round as defenders in the first half. Just when FaZe believed victory was within their grasp, Vitality mounted a strong comeback in the second half, ultimately equalizing the score and securing the win in overtime.
The matches ranking from second to sixth place include Liquid vs Vitality at IEM Katowice, Vitality vs Cloud9 at IEM Rio, Apeks vs NIP at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, Cloud9 vs Eternal Fire at the European RMR, and FaZe vs NAVI at the BLAST.tv Paris Major.
