Cloud9 has finally announced the rumored additions of electroNic and Perfecto. Since their departure from NAVI, it has become an open secret that they would join C9 to form the CIS Galactic Fleet. Meanwhile, their former team has formed a new international lineup, and as C9 made their announcement, NAVI was in a match against Team A. C9 New Members: electroNic and Perfecto.
As the rumors suggested, electroNic will take over the commanding role from nafany. Nafany has been leading the team since the establishment of Gambit Youngsters in 2019, but due to a severe hand injury affecting his personal performance, he has finally stepped aside for electroNic.
For electroNic, it will be his first time taking on the commanding role since NAVI replaced Boombl4 in 2022. Although his individual statistics have slightly declined after the position switch, he has maintained an exceptional level of play in 2023, with a rating of 1.11 as a commander, second only to the superstar AWPer s1mple.
Perfecto’s arrival, on the other hand, replaces the position of the veteran player buster. Since taking over interz earlier this year, buster has struggled to perform at his best within the top-tier C9 lineup. While Perfecto also had to switch positions in NAVI due to the addition of npl, he has consistently delivered solid and stable individual performances despite the team’s overall performance not reaching its previous heights.
