Vladislav ‘nafany’ Gorshkov, the former in-game leader of Cloud9, shared details about his removal on social media. According to him, issues within the team had been persistent for a long time before his departure, and the inability to resolve them might have been one of the reasons behind his removal from the team.

Nafany Reveals Long-Standing Unresolved Team Discord at Cloud9

“This situation had been ongoing for a long time. The decision to remove Timofey ‘interz’ Yakushin from the team was also due to the lack of harmony within the squad. From my perspective, the changes in our roster were not intended to strengthen the team’s performance, but rather to improve the overall atmosphere. However, I believe this approach didn’t yield the desired results. It wasn’t interz’s fault; it was a collective issue within the entire team.

I don’t want anyone to think that Timur ‘buster’ Tulepov is a bad player. It’s just that the atmosphere within the team wasn’t favorable, and buster found it difficult to believe what was happening here. Those few matches couldn’t be solely attributed to him; he simply didn’t join us at the best time.

As for being kicked out of the team, Cloud9 merely needed a change, and unfortunately, I was the one to be replaced. I hold no grudges against anyone; this is a competitive sport. If the team believes it’s for the best, then so be it, it’s part of the natural process.”
