Recently, Swedish legend walle has announced his comeback to CS:GO. On August 18th, walle revealed that he has secured a job related to esports. From 2004 to 2010, walle had played for spiXel, EYE, SK, and NiP. During that era when young Swedish talents emerged, walle led the relatively unknown spiXel to the runner-up position at ESWC 2004. Subsequently, he joined SK and NiP, marking the peak of his professional career.
However, as CS1.6 gradually declined, walle also faded from the view of CS enthusiasts. After many years, walle finally shared the reasons behind his disappearance from the scene.
“During my professional CS career, we experienced the boom of online poker. I know a lot of people who had their lives ruined because of this, myself included. This is why l’m disappointed with todays scene. I get a bad feeling of dejavu with painful memories from that time.”
Upon announcing his comeback, walle reached out to his former teammate RobbaN. The two reunited after five years, and perhaps RobbaN’s assistance played a role in walle’s new venture. After all, walle was RobbaN’s old team captain, and RobbaN has now become one of the most accomplished coaches in the CS:GO field.
