m0NESY started streaming during his recent vacation, and in his chat with viewers, he mentioned that his excellent English skills are thanks to the time he has spent playing CS. He also personally confirmed that the main reason for his underwhelming performance in the BLAST Fall Group Stage was being dragged into a workout session.
m0NESY said, “Of course, I’ve taken some courses and studied English in school. But I think the reason I’ve made such great progress in English is because I often use it while playing CS. With the experience of using English in the game, I can also communicate fluently with anyone who speaks English in real life.”
“When I joined G2, I started giving interviews and shooting videos in English, and everything was done in English. Then, when I officially started competing, everyone around me was speaking English, which provided me with a good language environment.”
m0NESY added, “I didn’t perform well in BLAST because they had a gym available, and I was pulled into it. After that, I played my worst game since joining G2, so I won’t go to the gym before matches anymore. It’s just not possible.”
m0NESY also mentioned that it was indeed NiKo who pulled him into the gym. NiKo, a fitness enthusiast in the CS professional scene, often shares his training routine online. NiKo’s impressive physique now compared to his early days is a stark contrast, and he has mentioned that fitness helps him maintain a good competitive state. However, it seems that this approach might not be suitable for a mere 18-year-old kid like m0NESY.
