Recently, Virtus.pro’s in-game leader Dzhami ‘Jame’ Ali shared his thoughts on the upcoming CS Major.
“We know nothing about CS2. Some information makes me believe that the next Major will still be a CSGO Major. If the Copenhagen Major is the CS2 Major, then the version of CS2 used in the tournament will be very rudimentary and primitive. I don’t think CS2 will be able to complete bug fixes and balancing work by then.
Most likely, the audience will witness another uncertain Major. I don’t like this feeling of uncertainty; I prefer clarity and stability without changes. But who cares? In Dota 2, the developers keep releasing updates right before the Major, and no one complains.”
Currently, CS2 is still in the testing phase, and this month, Overpass and Vertigo maps have entered testing.
According to previous reports, the next Major will be the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major, scheduled from March 17th to March 31st. The knockout stage will take place at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, and it will also be CS2’s first Major. The last Major for CSGO will be the BLAST Paris Major.
