G2 player huNter gave an interview to Russian media, where he shared his views on trash-talking and his teammate m0NESY.
During the previous IEM Cologne tournament, cadiaN engaged in heavy trash-talking and insulted opponents during the match against The Mongolz. Although cadiaN apologized on social media afterward, it still caused quite a stir in the community. On this matter, huNter expressed his understanding.
huNter said, “I’m not the type of person who frequently engages in trash-talking. I focus on the game in front of me and enjoy the process. I don’t like to talk negatively about opponents. However, sometimes trash-talking is a part of the game, and I can understand that. But I believe there should be limits to trash-talking, not everything without boundaries should be said.”
During the interview, huNter also talked about his teammate m0NESY. He said, “When m0NESY joined the team, he was only 16 years old, while I am already 26. Our relationship is like that of a father and son, so I naturally take care of him and look after him more. He is still young and lacks life experience. Now he’s an adult, but his mentality is still like that of a kid, and there are many things he still needs to learn. Sometimes, I feel like taking care of him is no different from taking care of my own daughter.”
“Any life advice to share? I think he needs to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Sitting in front of the computer for 24 hours like before is not healthy. He should pay attention to his physical condition and take some time to go for walks, play sports, hang out with friends, and not just be glued to the computer all day.”
“I’m glad to see that his emotional status is still open. After all, we are either playing matches or on our way to the next one, so it’s challenging to start a relationship in this situation. I’m glad m0NESY is still single, and he is not too keen on finding a girlfriend. CS is the only thing in his heart. As a big brother, we will do our best to support him because we all really like him.”
