After several weeks of changes, major clubs are preparing for a return to top level competition. NAVI is one of them, and they have added Aleksib, iM, and jL to their lineup, preparing for next week’s BLAST Fall group stage.
In NAVI’s vlog, s1mple talked about his concerns and expectations for the new lineup. Language is a particularly hot topic and s1mple admits that it will take some time to adjust to English.
He said, “It will take a few months before we feel more comfortable communicating. When I joined Liquid, I also had some difficulty with English, but luckily, someone helped me learn. Maybe our new lineup will encounter some communication issues, and that worries me.”
When asked if he would help b1t with language barriers, s1mple chuckled and said, “Only God can help. Of course, I will help and translate as fast as possible. But I think B1ad3’s English is very good, and he will help everyone.”
S1mple also gave his opinion on when the team will start functioning normally. “We will have a very good honeymoon period, and maybe we will perform very well right from the start. However, when practicing new maps, we usually encounter some problems, which will be very difficult. I think we need at least three months to adapt.”
In the interview, s1mple also expressed that he is tired of the feeling of repeatedly stopping at the semi-finals, and we await to see if NAVI’s new lineup can help them break out of this predicament.
