Recently, the outspoken Thorin once again took to his personal social media platform to express his views, stating that current CS:GO fans are overly fixated on player statistics, while disregarding the essence of CS:GO – tactics. According to him, a good commander cannot thrive without competent teammates.

Thorin: It is disheartening to see fans who are not interested in tactics and only care about statistics.

Thorin stated, “CS:GO, as a game, possesses a powerful tactical allure that can attract intelligent fans from games like StarCraft. However, it is disheartening that due to its FPS nature, it inevitably attracts players from games like Call of Duty and Frontier, where little brainpower is required. It is saddening that a game with such rich strategic depth harbors a fanbase that claims to understand and care about tactics, yet clearly only values numbers and headshots.”

“Commanders like Kévin ‘Ex6TenZ’ Droolans, Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen, Mathias ‘MSL’ Lauridsen, and Aleksi ‘Aleksib’ Virolainen have been consistently criticized as worthless by some ordinary fans. However, throughout my many years in this field, they have received high praise from their fellow professional players.”

“Even today, you can still come across completely foolish and ignorant remarks, such as ‘If Aleksib is so good, why hasn’t he won any offline tournaments with OG?’ The players making such comments often solely focus on Aleksib, without considering the other members of his team.”

“If you want to witness the importance of top-tier talent (referring to having top-tier teammates), then look at Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander’s performance before and after joining the Astralis dynasty.”
